1. What personal information do I collect from the people that visit my blog, website or app?

I may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit my site, register on the site, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources I make available on my Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, phone number. Users may, however, visit my Site anonymously. I will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

 

2. How I use collected information

Kylepollard.com may collect and use Users personal information for the following purposes:

This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, website security, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Loschaos website.

 

5. Rights to Data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. After you make a request a verification email will be sent to your address of record with kylepollard.com. You must respond to this verification email before any requests will be processed. If I have questions regarding your request I will contact you using your email address of record.

 

6. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

7. Email Communication

Kylepollard.com does not maintain a mail list. I do not send unsolicited email to site visitors. If you contact me via my published email address or reach out to me using my contact page, I will email you back in response.

 

8. How Long I Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. If you choose to delete your personal data any comments you have left on the site will be made anonymous.

I retain any email correspondence and information submitted to kylepollard.com using my contact form for one year unless the email or contact form info submitted is of a dispute or legal nature in which case I will keep the dispute related or legal related correspondence until the dispute or legal issue is resolved.

 

9. Embedded content from other websites

This site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

 

10. Google Web Fonts

For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that my web page was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web fonts is done in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of my plugin. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.

11. Akismet

I collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use my Akismet anti-spam service. The information includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

 

12. How I protect your information

I adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on my Site.

Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over an SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.

My website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to my site as safe as possible.

I conduct nightly Malware Scanning.

I employ a Classless Inter-Domain Routing Access Manager Protection system.

Firewall and proactive network security management are in place.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

I implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

I do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others.

17. External Data Storage Sites

I store your data on servers provided by third party hosting vendors with whom I have contracted. Your data is stored on a database/website servers located at Hostgator in the United States.

 

18. Data Breach Procedures

Any data breaches of personal data of a sensitive nature will be reported via email addresses registered to the site within 72 hours.

 

19. Google Analytics

kylepollard.com anonymously tracks the pages my users visit within kylepollard.com using Google Analytics, a service which transmits anonymized website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate their IP address with any other data held by Google. I use reports provided by Google Analytics to help me understand kylepollard.com website traffic and webpage usage. Google Analytics places cookies on your computer as the service cannot function without the use of cookies. The cookies placed on your computer by Google Analytics will record your activity on kylepollard.com and are sent to Google to produce the analytical reports mentioned in the previous sentence.

To provide website visitors the ability to prevent their data from being used by Google Analytics Google developed the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to block the Google Analytics JavaScript code. If you want to opt-out, download and install the add-on for your web browser. The Google Analytics opt-out add-on is designed to be compatible with Chrome, Internet Explorer 11, Safari, Firefox, and Opera. 20. Social Sharing Widgets

Kylepollard.com uses social sharing widgets that allow you to share content from Loschaos on your social networks. We use the following widgets:

We embed a Facebook widget to allow you to see the number of likes/shares/recommends and “like/share/recommend” my web pages. This widget may collect your IP address, your web browser User Agent, store and retrieve cookies on your browser, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the widget, including correlating your Facebook account with whatever action you take within the widget (such as “liking/sharing/recommending” my webpage), if you are logged in to Facebook. We use a Twitter Tweet widget on my website. As a result, my website makes requests to Twitter’s servers for you to be able to tweet my web pages using your Twitter account. GooglePlus Share:
We use a GooglePlus widget on my website. As a result, my website makes requests to Google’s servers for you to be able to share my web pages using your GooglePlus account. 21. California Online Privacy Protection Act

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States’ consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.

 

22. CAN SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.
